There aren't many organically certified farms in Costa Rica, but this fantastic coffee has all the fine qualities of a well managed operation. This farm is near Alajuela, in the central coffee growing region, on the slopes of the Poas Volano. The coffee from this farm is grown at an altitude of between 1,300m and 1,500m. They achieved their organic certification in 2000, and the coffee is shade grown as well.
