A suave and dense coffee, full syrup mouthfeel, with notes of caramel and a lingering aftertaste.
This coffee comes from the Nyamagabe Cooperative of farmers. The Nyamagabe Cooperative is in the south west of Rwanda and consists of smallholder farmers with crops grown at extremely high altitudes, on steep slopes. Various aid organizations have been working with the farmers over the past few years, assisting them to make their crops more viable, improving on the quality of the coffee produced. Their progress has been such that they won 2nd and 3rd positions in the 2008 Cup of Excellence competition.
